Master Bedroom and Bathroom Makeover

The other week I was contacted by a husband to surprise his wife with a little master bedroom and bath makeover. What a wonderful idea and I was so happy to help.  Hopefully they both love what I did in there because I spent every last penny I was given!

The room didn’t need a lot besides paint and decor, they had great furniture and bedding so this was an easy makeover!  The hard part was figuring out what they wanted without her knowing.

This last picture shows the true green of the bedroom, it was definitely leaning towards a forest green color.

The bathroom was a rusty red color.

This piece of art from Target was the inspiration for the color palette.

 Now for the afters!

I really wish the photos captured the true color of this bedroom because these pics don’t do it justice!  I swear I need to hire an interior photographer for myself.

The walls are a lovely blue/green color that is so fresh feeling.

Just by changing the paint color, the countertop in the bathroom is less green looking now and leans more towards a gray color which you can see more clearly in a few progress pics I took with my phone’s camera.  Not the best photos but you get the idea.

I found most of the decor at Target, Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx and  Wal-mart and the paint is from Sherwin Williams.

Although the before and after maybe more subtle, I had fun creating this room while working with great pieces already in place.  I would love to help you with your next room, email me and let’s get started!

E-Design Amy’s Living Room & Entryway

This e-design has been in the works for many months.  Amy was looking to lighten up the living room and the fireplace, change from oak to white trim and get a new vibe for this space. My suggestions were to whitewash the fireplace and go with a gray blue wall color, along with black for the banister and railing. This was all done over fb messaging and a Pinterest board for inspiration and ideas. You can check out her before and after pics below.  After giving her some suggestions and ideas, she was able to run with the rest of the room and make it her own.  Sometimes you just need a little direction to get started!
